Asked Questions

Q: How do I register?

A: Complete the online registration form. To secure your site, return an application form with payment which can be made online; 
EBOP Business and Leisure Show Inc, ANZ Whakatane 06 0489 0237467 00. Eftpos, Mastercard and Visa payment can be made at Radio 1XX, corner McAlister St & The Strand, Whakatane and please include your completed application form.

 

Q: Do you accept Cheques?

A: We sure do. Please make it out to 'EBOP Business and Leisure Show Inc', include your application and post c/- The Beacon, P O Box 243, Whakatane 3158.

 

Q: When do I find out my Stand number? 

A: Usually we advise all Exhibitor Stand numbers a month prior to the Show, with allocation starting early July. However if there's a reason you need to know sooner, please contact us directly and we will do our best.

 

Q:When can I set-up my Stand?

A: Exhibitors may begin Pack-In and Stand set up from 11:00am - 07:00pm on Friday 09th August 2019. On Saturday 10th August the venue will be open to exhibitors 1 hour prior to the public for last minute touch ups, no Pack-In will be permitted - all stands MUST be completed by 09.00am as the Show opens to the public at 09:00am

 

Q: Do I need to remove all my display goods at the each day or will they be secure in the Hall?

A: The Hall building will be securely locked at the end of set up and after shut down at the end of each Show day. There will be after-hours security patrols engaged to monitor the Hall and outside.

 

Q: I'd like to enter  in the Supreme Stand Awards. How does this work?

A: All Exhibitors are eligible to enter the Supreme Stand Awards - 1st, 2nd & 3rd place will be judged and awarded to the "Best Show Stand" as judged by the Supreme Stand Award judges. Exhibitors need to have their stands ready for judging by the designated time on Saturday the 10th  August, otherwise it may not be eligible to participate in the Supreme Stand Awards.
 

Q: I'd like to give the public a free sample of the food I'm selling - is that ok?

A: There is no cooking premitted on site inside the Hall, unless it is from within the designated demonstration area. Food or beverages should not be sold for immediate consumption but a pre-packaged sample is fine. If in doubt, please check with the Event Manager.

 

Q: I have a commercial Food Truck selling food at the Show. What do I need to provide?

All Food Trucks must be responsible for, display clearly and provide Event Management with a copy of their Food Safety licenses and Risk Management plan  prior to the Event or risk being prohibited from the Event.

Q: My business is Bay of Plenty based so why has my application been refused?

A: The Beacon Business & Leisure Show is a trade show designed to promote ONLY locally based Eastern Bay of Plenty businesses. Therefore to be an Exhibitor at our Show you must be from within the Eastern Bay area. Please see the District Eligibility Map located to the RIGHT. The Beacon Business & Leisure Show Committee & Show Management reserves the right to decline any Exhibitor application and any such decision is final.
